Summer Lessons Program Structure

5 and under FUNdamentals: For kids 5 and Under

Aqua Tot:Parents, children 3 months - 2.5 years, and an instructor, learn water safety, water adjustment, play games, sing songs, play with water toys. The instructor and parents work with the children to teach love of the water.

Young Recruit:Learning swimming fundamentals is key, and this class is essential for beginning swimmers that are 5 and younger. Swimmers will gain confidence and comfort in the water while learning how to safely enter the pool as well learn mouth and nose bubbles, floating on back and stomach, and straight-legged kicks.

Young Cadet:This class is also designed for young and new swimmers, but for kids who feel comfortable in the water.  We will spend lots of time learning breathing and establishing a strong kick with a kick board on stomach and on back. Introduce streamline pushing and kicking off the wall.

Young Ace:This class is for swimmers who can float and glide unassisted. We will focus on fast straight-legged kicks, while building kicking endurance on stomach and on back.

6 and UP Stroke School: For kids 6 and over

Swim Recruit:This class is essential for beginning swimmers that are 6 and older. Children will learn basic water skills including putting face in the water learning mouth and nose bubbles. Focusing a lot on kicking and floating on stomach and on back.

Swim Cadet:For children able to push off the wall on stomach and back and can kick to an instructor unassisted.  We will focus on side breathing with a streamline kick as well as introducing arm strokes.

Swim Ace:For children able to swim on front and back for 15 yds. Students will master their rotary breathing, as well as build kicking endurance. We will practice swimming longer distances and introduce dives.

Swim Captain: For children able to swim freestyle and backstroke for 25yd, we will refine these strokes while introducing breaststroke kick, and butterfly kick. We will introduce breaststroke arm spend time learning dives.

Swim Master:For children who can have a general understanding of all strokes, but want to master them all. We will refine breaststroke and butterfly as well as learn flip turns and competitive dives.
