Salem Tennis and Swim Club:

Effective May 13 - May 27, all practices at STSC.

ORANGE: ONE A WEEK - NON COMPETITIVE

M or F   5:30 - 6:30 PM Swim, $25 registration fee and $30 per month.

Swimmers in this group generally are 6 - 12 and can swim one length of Freestyle and one length of Backstroke. Coaches focus on building stronger and faster swimmers through teaching proper stroke mechanics, speed drills, and endurance training.  Swimmers do not attend USA Swimming meets.

One a Week -Non Competitive Squad swimmers can buy their own equipment or use Equipment at the pool.

YELLOW: TWO A WEEK - NON COMPETITIVE

M and TH or F  5:30 - 6:30 PM Swim, $25 registration fee and $40 per month.

Swimmers in this group generally are 10 - 17 and have some swimming background.  Coaches focus on teaching proper stroke mechanics, speed drills, and endurance training. This is an ideal squad for swimmers that want to stay in shape for Summer League, High School Swimming and Water Polo.

Two a Week -Non Competitive Squad swimmers can buy their own equipment or use Equipment at the pool.

WHITE SQUAD

M - F   5:00 - 6:00 PM Swim, Dryland returns in June,
$115 registration fee and $85 per month.

10 and Under swimmers begin in White Squad, swimmers ages range from 6 - 12. Swimmers can choose up to 5 practices. Coordinate days with the White Squad Coach. There will be a limit of 20 swimmers per day, so get your schedule to the coach when you sign up. Coaches focus on building stronger and faster swimmers through teaching proper stroke mechanics of all four strokes. Coaches focus on speed, power, and endurance training in swimming and in dryland. Coaches introduce general training concepts such as reading a pace clock, proper spacing in swimming a set. Swimmers focus on improving competitive starts, turns, and finishes.
 

White Squad swimmers need:

3. Swimmer Snorkel and 3 nose clips

4. Equipment Bag

 

RED SQUAD

M - F   5:00 - 6:30 PM Swim, Dryland returns in June, $115 registration and $110 per month.

Swimmers 9 to 14, who mainly swim competitively and other activities rarely conflict with practice. Coaches focus on developing and refining stroke mechanics for each swimmer. Coaches focus on building speed, power, and endurance through swimming and dryland practices. Coaches refine general training concepts such as reading a pace clock, proper spacing in swimming a set, and making equipment changes quickly. Swimmers focus on faster competitive starts, turns, and finishes. Swimmers attend all practices and meets during the year. Dryland and swimming training take place during the practice time at the coaches discretion.

BLACK SQUAD

M - F  3 - 5 PM Swim,  $115 registration fee and $135 per month.

M/T/TH/F 5 - 6 PM Dryland

W 5 - 6 PM Weights

SAT 8 - 9 Weights

SAT 9 - 11 AM Swim


Swimmers are generally in High School or 14 and over. These swimmers have made a full-time commitment to swimming and rarely miss a practice.* They attend all the meets at the direction of the Head Coach. Coaches focus on building technique, strength, power, endurance and speed skills. Swimmers work in the pool and in the dryland room to improve these skills. Coaches micro-manage swimmers' technique with all the competitive strokes. Swimmers begin to specialize in events they want to master. Coaches work with swimmers to develop independent self confidence, leadership, and responsibility skills. Coaches work with swimmers to develop nutrition habits to help them build muscle and aid in recovery.
 

Black Squad Swimmers need:
