Welcome To Northwest
Aquatics(NWA) "Where every swimmer
matters."
Mission
Statement:
We strive to make every athlete a better
swimmer by focusing on the whole child and the whole
experience.
NWA
Training Philosophy:
Coach the complete
individual
We look to create a balanced experience by
developing technique, racing skills and overall athletic strength.
In addition to swimming, one of the important aspects of our
program is dryland training. Click
here for details on dryland.
We understand that parents are busy and
want their children to have many different athletic
experiences. We encourage our members to swim, run, bike and
play other sports. We work with families to offer the best possible
swimming program for our athletes.
We create a place for swimmers who want to
swim once or twice a week and still be part of a team. We also
believe in training swimmers at the national level and encourage
our more committed swimmers to dedicate themselves to
swimming.
Help athletes create a vision of
success
We keep feedback positive, and we work
one-on-one with athletes in our program using tools such as
training aids; video feedback and instruction; Internet sources;
and books to further their understanding of excellence in swimming
and what it means to have a championship vision. We understand that
goals worth pursuing don't come easily. We focus on the process of
trying to reach those goals.
Continuously define a winning team
culture
NWA coaches and swimmers set training,
attendance and performance goals for each season. We educate
swimmers on how to compete and how to thrive under pressure so
their expectations for success become a familiar
experience.
Professionally develop our coaching and
aquatic staff
NWA is dedicated to providing excellent
training and education programs for our coaches and
staff.
